So is that the end? What are the implications for the rest of the mid east now?

The rest of his cronies are still there, so its not over by a long way. Still run by corrupt police and military.
The public have for the first time risked thier lives / freedom by denouncing the whole thing - the cat is out of the bag.
It wont stop till an alternative leader takes over to satisy the masses.
