Yep, first go today, given the alternatives at the moment, having him back broadcasting is great..

echoes of previous shows but different, I like!

Gave it 10 minutes, no music just inane 'banter'. Not much of an improvement from R1 days. Saying that, not much choice at that time in the morning, Evans and that guy on Absolute make me want to rip the radio out, Keavney at least plays some music.

Edit: it's what usb's in cars were invented for

I've just binned my teaspoons. The wife's gone nuts.

Surely it's not teaspooning, it's teabagging?

I'd rather teabag Binners.

Bah, beaten to it.

Morning radio - wall to wall arseholes.
John Humphreys is arrogant and Justin Webb is a wet hen.
Chris Evans has reached that annoying point on his latest cycle of self delusion.

Farming Today whilst I'm getting ready for work.
It's ace.

4Extra is good too.

On a related note, a lady at work recently explained to all, quite loudly, that she was "the tea bagging queen", thinking she'd encapsulated her reputation for pinching teabags from colleagues.

It was left to me to explain - not easy.

I thought/hoped he'd become a monk who'd taken a vow of silence. Even though I'm not listening to the former XFM as I live overseas the mere idea that he's back on the radio annoys me.

I stopped listening to radio 1 years ago because I couldnt stand Moyles. About 12 months ago i found XFM and loved it. Now that gobshite has spoiled that as well... 🙁

I tried it and realised that literally nothing has changed. Radio must be the least progressive creative medium out there.

This came up on my Facebook, so I removed the person who put it there.
I have no idea what Radio X is and never will.

I regularly listen to xfm, but I'm on holiday at the moment.
I'm dreading going back to work, because I really don't want to listen to that annoying gobshite, and the alternatives are worse.
Who the hell did the market research?
Xfm, the Indy/rock station, so they have Chris Moyle's, Johny Vaughn and Vernon ****ing Kay....wtf.

Keaveny may be an annoying get, but he played The Fixer by Pearl Jam this morning, all was forgiven at that point.

I like him. Rachel Burden tediously banging on about the Rugby World Cup means that I've had to find an alternative to 5LIVE for the next 6 weeks.

I like him and am glad that he's back on the radio.

It'll be interesting to see how many listeners he gains from the other breakfast shows.

I love Absolute Classic Rock.

There is also Absolute 60s, Absolute 70s, Absolute 80s, Absolute 90s.
Pick your era.

Just avoid Saturday mornings when Frank Skinner and his cronies are on.

Went off XFM about a year ago, but listen to it occasionally. The TV advert Moyles does for X confirms that he hasn't changed - walking down a street pretending to be Richard Ashcroft.

For 14 years it's been the sound track of my life.

I'm sad

Because if you think Moyles is bad .... Vernon Kay is even worse after him

Thought I'd time hopped back to the late 80's with some of the jiggles (shudders just at the mere word) he played

The X list will never be the same again.

Found XFM a few years ago and it was constantly on in the car. OK so the play list got a little repetitive sometimes but it was mostly good. DJ's were pretty good too, some with a good knowledge of Indy / rock music.

Chris Moyles, Vernon Kay and Johnny Vaughn. What the **** have I done to deserve this??? Three of the biggest oxygen thieves ever to disgrace the face of the earth. Needless to say, I don't listen to Radio X.

Classic rock stations are fine for an hour here and there, but they are always playing the same stuff. Cos there's no new classic rock, ever...

They should have a jingle on Absolute 70s that goes ..' you're never more than 30 minutes away from Blondie"
They bleat on how you won't hear the same song twice in a day but that doesn't stop them playing exactly the same songs every day. There was more to the 70s than Abba and ****ing Blondie. ****s.

Moyles, Vernon Kay and Johny Vaughan on a supposedly alternative music radio station is laughable.

Hopefully RadioX will be a flop.

I don't care about music, I hear it.
I've missed out on most of the stuff on Classic Rock, so a lot is new to me.
Plus the kids like it and that bothers the mrs.

5 years time they will all be on smooth radio, and then another 5 years classic fm, all make you loose the will to live or hurl something large and heavy at the radio.

Chris Moyles is a great tool for calculating mass genocide/euthanasia.

And a great tool.

I don't understand the beef people have with Sean Keaveny. I find him mildly amusing, and 6music play pretty much exactly what I like. All of these other options sound terrible.

There is no other option but 6music.
Whatever you think of Keaveny, who else will play that stuff in the drive time slot?
Forget the impressions, and 'chat'. He's still playing PJ Harvey , the Fall and the new stuff. Suck it up or listen elsewhere. FFS you have no idea how shit the alternative is. It's pretty obvious BBC want the drive time comedy even if we don't. The music he plays is still good, and there are no adverts (except bbc).

Where did I say I was a fan? Whatever, I guess he's not as polarising. Let's face it, if you want bland radio2 style wedding disco music then you have lots of choice so you can opt for the DJ you like. But if you want decent music the choices are limited and the last thing music fans want is an off-putting DJ. Dull (your words) is fine.

^ indeed. 6music is phenominal and has introduced me to such good music since I started listening a couple of years ago.

Don't get the issue with Keaveny, plays good stuff and the odd laugh whilst doing my porridge!

Moyles used to be funny when I was <18 IIRC

Never listened to that radio channel so I'm happy he's there as it means he won't appear soon on any channels I do listen to. His tax case was unusual as I think it suggested he was a car dealer....
