Any views/advice? Need a cheap "bike" phone
Yeah it's pretty good, as it goes.
If you want road maps, then a Windows Phone running Nokia's Here Maps works without talking to the mobile network, which is a boon. If you ran one with the SIM out you'd have good battery life.
NB - jamming the screen on in any phone will empty it very fast. Why not just buy a Garmin of some sort?
Use mine for car sat nav and merory map tracker. Its been excellent at doing both.
I use the Garmin as its water proof and i can upload maps for any place in the world and avoid data charges.
Mates got one and is always having to top the battery up - would suggest something with a better battery might be better.
Have a edge 200 this is more a safety phone with the ability to store os maps
Aaah. Consider a Sony or other waterproof one then. The Moto G is not really waterproof.
