MegaSack DRAW - This year's winner is user - rgwb
We will be in touch
on hols in USA, hence daft timing
my 8yr old daughter has an ipod that does wifi
I switched it on today to google something and up pops a porn movie site (porn hub)
I doubt it's her (though possible of course; doesn't seem like the bukake type) but she has an older sister and 4 older cousins - all denying of course
whoever it was seems to have deleted the search history on the ipod (another reason not to suspect the younger ones ?). Oldest remaining entry is for a facebook page (now known as suspect A's facebook page)
machine hasn't synched to itunes for ages so I doubt there's a backup
Owt I can do, other than resort to the rack & thumbscrews* ?
*chalk up to experience & get router owner to block norty.net in future
Yours [s]Pervypants[/s] sackcloth&ashespants
off to bed, will check back for wisdom later - ta
(oh, I don't think it was an accidental pop-up - back button on the browser showed that a google search had led to pornhub by name)
Whilst at home you can block the naughty stuff through your router settings, however as far as I know you can't do anything on the iPod itself
Owt I can do, other than resort to the rack & thumbscrews*
Is that another category alongside Bukkake? 😆
You can set up some parental controls, have a look here and here.
It can only restrict access to Safari with a pass code though so you would have to give them access every time they wanted to use the web.

Sounds like an over-reaction to a practical joke.
You shouldn't have given your 8-year-old daughter something that allows unrestricted internet access if you were unhappy about the possibility of her occasionally stumbling across something nasty.
