[Closed] Moon's pretty special tonight 🙂

Tonight? I'm currently in North Uist and it's still daylight 😁

I had a long drive south last night & the moon was indeed amazing.

That's a nice shot. I was driving South from Pendle to Manchester and it was beautiful and huuuge

Amzing moon last night. Was trying to work out what the bright light to the moon's right was (OP's pic shows it clearly) - any answers?

I wondered that too, so thanks. It was really bright as this non night-mode effort shows.

Was a fantastic view though though - there were a bunch of teenagers having a laugh-filled BBQ on the beach in its light, with nobody else about. All-in-all it was a very life-affirming ten minutes viewing (and made me feel old 🙂 )

Indeed. I was looking at the moon a couple of days ago and saw a bright dot alongside it.... did some googling and learnt that Jupiter is pretty visible at the moment for some reason.

This is now the first planet I've been able to look at and know what it is !
