Anybody used mobilephonesdirect.co.uk? I've got a link to a good-ish iphone6 deal. Before I call my current provider to match them, has anybody used them to force their current network to beat them or even got a phone from them?

Cheers

My network EE could not match it, so went with mobilephonesdirect, happy with the service and deal I got with the iPhone6.

I have had phones from them in the past and then, just under 18 months ago, used their website to get my current provider (O2) to match a deal on a Sony Xperia Z1 which was new out at the time.

Recently got an iphone 6 from them.

Very quick delivery and no transfer issues. I tried EE direct and the guy said they could get no where near I should definitely go with MPD

I got £70 cash back with Topcashback.

However they intitially only paid out £50, had to put in a dispute thing to get the rest

I've used them a few times without any problems. Even returned a phone and got a refund/contract cancelled within a few days.

so what's the business model? they make the claim of the cashback just a bit hard, and fiddly, so that folk don't bother?

I looked when looking for new phone for offspring no. 1 - in the end bought one and plan of sorts from giffgaff rather than faff with receipts, bills, cashback and so on.

curious at to why you can get great offers with EE or Voahdphone on sites like this, yet going direct to the provider you can't? surely going direct, you would think they could match if not beat it

Yes iphone 6 64gb on EE 4g plus
£33.50 pm unlimited everything 4gb data
Last month
phone came and was connected next day, all was nice and smooth good emails from them keeping me informed all,the way through
Bill from EE shows a £35 tariff but then a discount is applied to bring it down to £33.50

Three couldn't match the deal tried to scare me off using 'a reseller'

Also got topcashback but currently still waiting for the claim to be processed
