'We Are 138' popped up in my random playlist a little while ago been on a Misfits binge since. Far and away my favourite:
I like astrozombies, especially the alternate takes.
The original 'she' also takes some beating
I also used to live at number 138 when at uni. we were 138
S'funny that, I've been on a Misfits listening spree the last month or so.
Walk Among Us is spending a lot of time on the turntable at moment.
Never got to see the original line-up...have seen Newfits a few times (I know, I know...), but I quite enjoy some of the stuff off American Psycho/Famous Monsters too. Not the same as the old proper stuff though.
Last time I saw them they had Marky Ramone on drums and Dez Cadena of Black Flag fame on guitar.
an old band i was in once played a gig at bradford rio's with the michael graves-fits.
bunch of absolute bellends. all 4 of them.
And so is Danzig, but that has what to do with their awesome riffage and cartoon horror lyrics?
Stw negativity in full effect
don't get me wrong, i like(d) them musically. it was just a total let-down to discover they have serious ego issues.
quite funny to see a roadie struggling to get jerry only into his corset though...
As a mellow Sunday morning homage to the Misfits I put this playlist together of young ladies covering their songs with varying degrees of proficiency
just seen this, genius, cheers oliver
Saw them in CBGBs in May 2002, Joey Ramone's posthumous birthday party.
While queuing for tickets earlier in the day saw Jerry get out of a Nissa Micra in full get up.
Later on we got their early and were in the little seating bit at the back chilling out when someone kicked me in the back. Was Jerry Only clambering over chairs to get out. He was awfully nice about it.
One of the Australian girls we were with pulled Dez, I've got a photo of us all somewhere will try and dig it out.
Drinking underage in CBGBs while the Misfits were playing was a pretty good experience!
I think the new Fits should give it up. I saw a video online of them playing at some snowboard jolly and it looked very sad. Can't fault the Danzig era at all...
xhernivorex what band was that? I was there if it was the all sayer with Iron Monkey...
