I used to listen to him when he was on Radio 1 in the late evening back in c. 1992, then when he moved to the afternoon slot and the breakfast show.

But I don't remember him ever doing the whole "eeeehhhhhhhh-aaaaahhhhhh-eeeeerrrrm-eh-ah-er" thing before he said everything. As much as I like him and the music he plays, it's getting a bit annoying now!!

Anyone else?

The daytime 6 music playlist seems to have got a bit better recently. It was getting repetitive and poppy.

Haven't noticed the thing you say he does, but if I do, I'll be sure to blame you. 🙂

1992. Nearly 20 years ago. Just saying, like.

Aye, suppose his brian waves might be slowing down a tad now.

As for the playlist, I'm still finding it a bit repetitive. They seem to get their pet new bands and play them to death. If I were boss, playlists would be banned 😉

Have noticed it but there are always more important things on my tits. Liking the move of R&M to the afternoon slot on 6music. Apparently, the station is enjoying it's highest listenership figures. Not loving repetitive playlists. Loving the "haven't heard that in ages" moments you get every day still.
