we have a promotion here at the moment!

i can get a macbook for 600£ 😉

but i want the os in english and not german. most of my business is in english so i would prefer to have the interface/os in english?

can i buy it and then just click english or is it going to be in german from the beguinning or how do i go about changing it?

You just change the language. One issue could be the German keyboard IIRC its not a standard QWERTY model.

no its not this isnt a problem, as i do need also the extra keys on the board for the few emails i need to send etc...

how do i go about just changing the language??

i want that all the drop down menus etc are english and so on. inc option menus etc

Easy to change default language in system preferences.

Not sure if it defaults with the language flag in the top right of the menu bar (I have mine switched off) but if it does, you just click the flag and choose the language you want.

Change Your Language

I have an MacBook Pro which I bought in Canada and which I have left "set on Canadian" so that what comes out on the screen is what is printed on the keys.

The only quirk is that there isn't a pound sign on the keyboard.

Pressing Alt and 3 makes the pound sign appear.

Sounds like a good deal there.

I think the first thing you should do is make sure your keyboard has the automated-grammar-correction plugin 🙂
