I am a MAC newbie and have a little knowledge which I am aware is potentially dangerous! Anyway, I am trying to install my printer which is an HP Photosmart C7280. The driver disk says it is for OSX 10.4.x and my MAC is 10.5.8, I have also downloaded the latest driver from HP which says it is for 10.6.x.

New driver will not install at all and the old driver installs but whenever I print a doc it says 'Printing Stopped'.

What am I doing wrong?

Forgot to add that printer is connected to the network and not via USB.

Have you installed any software for the printer on your Mac? I bought an Epson WiFi printer, and was getting frustrated until I actually read the instructions and installed the print utility, when it worked properly. It might be a similar issue, due to you running it on a network. Shouldn't be an issue, usually when you hit print, it should give you a list of printers available, and you scroll down and select the printer you want, the fact you're running 10.5.8 shouldn't make a difference, it's pretty recent, it's what I have on my PowerBook.
