Is it possible to migrate a computer running os 10.5 onto one running 10.4?

I've had a google round & can't find an answer - I'm thinking the only way I might be able to do it is update the 10.4 mac to 10.5?

What do you mean by migrate? Copy a user's files and settings?

yes - ideally using the migration assistant.

I'm guessing you have two Macs? Have you got a Firewire cable? You can plug it into each Mac and hold down T on the old one as you start it up and it will pretend to be a giant hard disc - really useful. Then, just copy the files by hand.

I don't see any reason why the Migration assistant would not work but if you copy the Documents folder, Pictures, Movies and the Library Folder, that's pretty much everything.
