There's a load of buildings off to the right (East) side of the motorway just off this junction but I can't see what they are on Google Maps or Google Earth.
What are they?

Google seems to use pretty old satellite data for this neck of the woods. They show up on Apple Maps though - you'll also see that fairly large swathes of land have been open cast mined and the mines then gone bust since the Google photos were taken 🙂
Cheers all. A bit duller than I thought, but makes me feel better about having my dreams shattered when I found out that the Talisker Distillery is essentially a tiny marketing based chemical factory that outsources most of the work to a warehouse near Glasgow.
