This morning I noticed what looks like a new speed camera mounted on the upright of one of the overhead gantries (rather than behind the variable speed limit displays that have been there for ages). I was heading south and saw the northbound side flash even though the variable speed limits were off. The old cameras only flash on the variable limit.
Anyone know what these are and what is going on?

If it flashed and the signs weren't on it will be one of the new always on stealth cameras....thanks for the heads up!

Glad I always come on at 27 to head north. I'll keep my eyes peeled heading down to 26von the way home though.
