i seem to be forgetting things recently
i have entered our house twice this week (we have lived here for over 2 years) and i have nt been able to remember the alarm code
could nt remember my parents post code last night
lots of other "silly" things as well
although this seems to be amusing to many people ("your in your forties what do you expect?" etc) it is bothering me

what could be causing this (apart from being in my forties!) is it anything to worry about?

Going through something similar myself. The other week I completely forgot the PIN code that I have been using for, ooh, two years or more. Ended up having to get a reminder sent. It was a bit embarrassing because I had only just changed the PIN on another card to the same thus stopping myself from using both of them at one fell swoop. Genius. Also I seem to have forgotten lots of things I've done. The kids will say something like 'Do you remember that time we...' and I just can't.
It's worrying given that before my Mum died last year she was probably (although never diagnosed) suffering from Altzheimers.

You're in your forties. It's normal.

You can remember when you were 6?

I get this occasionaly. Usually quite good at remembering details but i'm quite absent minded.

Sometimes though, and for no apparent reason, i forget all my pin codes, passwords etc.. I even 'came round' walking back home and remembered i cycle to work (and always had done) and had to go back and get my bike.

Def get checked out, those symptons are likely to be nothing more than age/stress/etc... but there are other things like Alzheimers which I would want to know about.

Late forties and I'm terrible. But apparently it's ok to forget, for example, where you parked your car. You start worrying when you can't remember how to drive it. I have family history of Alzheimer's too, so it is a bit scary.

Do you take Statins by any chance? One of the side effects they don't tell you about.

But in any case get it checked out by your GP.

i know what you mean, i've been having the same problems and i'm 33. Left out two bags of frozen food the other night 5 minutes after my wife brought them in from Farmfoods - they were left out and subsequently defrosted overnight.

The doctor said "you're tired, get some rest"

I get this more and more, like forgetting my own phone number!

I forgot that Id signed up for a companies service, and rang them up to ask why they had debited money out of my account! Felt pretty silly about that one, haha.

Im only 32 too, but there might be something in what BoardinBob says. 😐
