Has anyone got any recommendations of companies to consider or horror stories of companies to avoid?

I'm looking to replace an ageing SBS server and want to consider a hosted Exchange solution in its place for email.
Currently up for consideration at the moment is Office 365, Intermedia, Rackspace and Cobweb but happy to consider anything else.

I went with office365 about 18 months ago and it's been very good, saved a few quid on the new server.

My only niggle with it is dependent on your upload speed - if you want to send large files you have to wait while it sends i.e. if you want to send then go home you can't, and if you send large files internally they have to go up to the cloud and back down again so by no means instant like they used to be.

It can also be a bit temperamental when syncing between the cloud and the server user management, and some more complex setup stuff hasn't been straightforward.

We use Rackspace at work. Expensive but reliable.
