I need to get from Marylebone station to Holborn tube station on a bike tomorrow, 9am ish. Can someone suggest an easy to navigate route that ideally will avoid some of the nastier junctions please? Thanks all.
Sure - head down Marylebone High St onto Oxford St, then follow Oxford St east (turn left) for about 2km and you'll be at Holborn. Oxford St is well controlled so while busy with buses (only buses, no cars) it should be fine.
Not the prettiest route but the easiest to navigate. The back streets up there are fantastic but it's really difficult to pick your way through!
Not ridden Oxford St for a few years but the biggest issue was pedestrians. Don't ride up the inside of buses and keep a distance from the kerb and you should be OK.
