We went to the Three Counties Show at Malvern the other week....  some amazing bits of "wood related" kit there.

I've been splitting the remains of seven 40' high pine trees this week, that would be quite handy. As it is we're using a wee hydraulic splitter, it's still hard enough! Shouldn't need to buy any wood for a few decades though. The pile in the picture is about 1/7th of the wood to split.

Ha! It wouldn't fit in my garden and we only have twigs to split!

No we're on holiday in Germany. It was next to the Mosel bike path

Under the new Hochmoselbrücke (High Moselle Bridge).

There's some park in Germany I believe where they have some enormous old mining equipment you can have a look at

We drove past the huge open cast mine with the working Bagger machines the other day.

In typical German green-washing style there are large  solar arrays and wind farms all around it to distract the eye.

Saw a vid a few years ago of what has to be the scariest logging machine you can get. Called a 'feller buncher'

Basically a 3' wide circular saw on an articulated arm.
