i need to make an array of teeny but powerful lights that are battery powered (solar rechargeable) and triggered by motion sensors.

as i know nothing about any of this it represents a big of a challenge/ my questions - is it feasible and where do i get the kit? ta

So why did they ask you?

Edit, didn't mean to be harsh, but it's all standard kit. LED lights, solar charger, NiMH or Li battery, photovoltaic from boating/caravan market, burglar alarm sensor. You could do it for thirty quid, but does it need to be self contained and pretty too?

at the risk of raising the ire of elf it's for an installation i'm wanting to do.

to doesn't need to be pretty but it does need to be waterproof (boating market - good shout) and hideable up a tree. if i can run multiple lights off one battery so much the better.

Well nowt on telly, so I thought I'd take a look at this again, been pondering this and maybe thirty quid is optimistic, but that would include random bits of recycled junk from my garage and cellar, like a case and battery (old burglar alarms usually have a decent battery).

Wouldn't take much to string this lot together for a very effective little rig. Stick with sealed gel type batteries so they don't mind being upended unlike acid ones which could be messy/scary. I'm sure if you spend more than five minutes on ebay I could get it a bit cheaper too.
