i feel i'm going to be sick i'm going round in so many circles so let's say you have £20-25 a month budget-what phone do you get?
desire s? desire hd? galaxy?
It has to have 500mb or better internet usage be able to access emails etc (which they all will at that money) and not seem outdated in 6 months (which i fear a standard desire would be)
the £25 24 month contract will come to £600 in total with a free phone so any buying second hand phones and using cheap contracts would need to do better than that.
Do you know how many mb you currently use? I was surprised to find out my monthly usage..
Anyhow about this:

*don't forget to look at what cashback deals are available via Quidco / Topcashback when selecting a package *
Write down your "must haves" for a phone / package and weed out the chaff accordingly.
currently don't have tinterweb on my phone, i know, i know the horror!
not as keen on cashback because i end up getting quite busy and forget to stay on top of things
I just got a Motorola Defy android phone (pitched as a tougher than average phone - shock, water, scratch resisitant so ideal for biking) with Vodafone on a 24 month contract for £16.25 (it's £30 per month but you reclaim money back every few months). That's with 300 minutes, unlimited texts and 500mb data.

the one i am thinking about
This is the deal i am looking at. I know the phone is being superceded but the spec looks reasonable compared to what is out there. I tend not to use alot of talk time so more data is good.
carphone warehouse are doing the desire hd on a £25 contract but not sure if there's any great advantage to it over the desire s
