Any know Leeds. I want to go to the Armoury tomorrow. The wife wants to wnderr off to the shops whilst I am there.Just how far over the river are the shopping areas and is that I small foot bridge I see on Google Earth? Parking. Seems to be on existant. P&R are all south of the city and we are coming from the north. Any suggestions. Bus website is shocking as we need to know where places are which we don't. Help

Shops are just over the river, basically follow Call Lane or Kirkgate towards the train station and everything is off to the right.

Park at the Armouries, walk along the West Bank of the river until you get to Jury’s inn cross at the bridge, turn left onto Call lane, cross the road at the graffiti building and head into the city. 10mins and you’ll be on Kirkgate with access to everything.

If the water taxi is still running, then you can get one at the back of the armouries up to granary wharf. Nice little ride and gets you up a bit closer to town, and a bit of history to boot 👍

Obviously before you separate off, if at the Armouries have a coffee and pastry at North Star coffee… some of the best pastries outside of France/Italy.
For lunch, highly recommend Momma Thai on Duncan Street (2 mins from Corn Exchange).

You can prebook the parking at Citipark, which is right next door to the armouries.

Yes, it is - I was in Leeds on Saturday and watched that go by.
