tesco, i've heard they're really cheap and you get everything from intimate premises, to ones which are open all night and have a big 'menu' and an enormous wine list.

Forgot to say it also goes under the name of "The flying handbag" 😉

If you want cheap but reasonable beer the Angel Inn was always quite nice - if it's still there. Not lived in Leeds for years.

The Angel's still there, very much so.

Another tip would be taxi up to Headingley, thai food at either Jino's or Sukhothai, then drinkies in Arcadia. It's a fantastic wee watering hole.

Angel Inn is still there and dirt cheap. £1.74 for a cracking pint.

Would also recommend Jino's in Headingley. Simple surroundings and the food is excellent and dirt cheap and then go to arcdia for some nice beers.
