Don't MS do a free course?

+1 for the MS intros and guy in a cube, also Reza Rad has a free book & his newsletter has some useful content

(actually 5 books now, not quite a Dummys guide but useful reference)

and to get to grips with the joy of DAX

The Microsoft stuff is pretty good and will certainly get you going.

Keep an eye on the blog for handy bit and bobs...

I got a deal on a Udemy course at the start of lockdown 1. Was reduced to £10 from +£130.

What i did of the course seemed well structured, but i didn't complete it.

Just to echo what others have said, the stuff Patrick & Adam produce on Guy in a Cube is brilliant, I didn’t discover it until after I knew the product but some great tips and resources on there.
The PowerBI blog is great to keep abreast of the monthly feature updates, but might not give you much of a starting point.
There are quite a few ‘dashboard in a day’ type videos or online courses which should get you going.
Otherwise, there’s lots (tons more than when I started!) of books on Amazon.
Good luck!
RM.

Microsoft is my first choice but I have a friend who used Lynda.com and loved it.  Do be afraid to pay for it yourself.  You aren't just helping the company you are actually improving your own skill set so why not take charge. Power BI rocks. We have a job position up at the moment and Power BI will be a contributing factor to who gets it

Our powerBO does not align with data from dynamics, total pita.

But the guy that set it up left for more £££ (we're a charity).

So, is it still MS and Patrick and Adam being the best shot?

What about paid courses?

And looking at DAX, looks bloody useful,  same sources for learning?

As well as Guy in a Cube on You Tube, BI Elite and Avi Singh also worth a look.
