With the increasing concern about environment, more and more people tend to choose eco-friendly and energy-saving product for environment protecting. The technological advances in the development of LED light bulbs have been fast and furious, with manufacturers competing to design LED bulbs suitable for every application in the home, including LED T8, while working to lower the retail price to a tipping point of mass consumer acceptance.
Today, these goals have largely been met. LED T8 are more cost-effective than their incandescent or CFL counterparts, and specialty LEDs have become widely available for the different lighting applications in modern homes.
Here are a few tips to help you make sense of the many energy-efficient lighting solutions on the market today, and how to choose the best LED bulb for your lighting needs.
LEDs excel at giving off light in one direction, which makes them a very good choice for overhead or spot lights. Some older LED bulbs come in what’s called a “snow cone shape” and only give off light from the top. But now, there are designs from LED panel light for omni-directional light, meaning they can be used for table lamps, for instance. The snow cones didn’t work next to my bathroom mirror because the light was uneven, but the omni-directional LED. Whether a light is dimmable is key feature for many people, and LED panel light is compatible with most dimmers.
One of the biggest advantages of LED T8 is the long life they promise. Some are rated at 25,000 hours, which could be 25 years depending on how much they’re used. If there’s a place that’s tough to reach and you want to avoid replacing the bulb, LED T8 is certainly a better choice than traditional incandescents or halogens, which burn out faster.
LED T8 also great for places where you cycle the light on and off quickly because they provide full light right away. Compact fluorescent bulbs take a few minutes to warm up and burn out if you turn them on and off quickly within less than five minutes or so. So before you choose LED bulbs, you should pay attention to related data and parameters about it. In addition, comparison is important too.
