Star and Garter maybe. I've only been in there during the day, but it was pretty nice.

Depends what you mean by classy and cool.

I tend to frequent ...
The Fat Pug
The Cricketers

There are loads in the town centre but not been in any at night for ages

The Cricketers is nice. Try the Fox and Vivien too.

Avoid wetherspoons unless a traditional pub fight is your thing, that's more a Saturday afternoon thing though

Lived in Leamington in my first proper move away from home (excluding uni), names of pubs bringing back memories!

+1 white horse and star & garter.

There also used to be a good cafe for a fry up on the northern side of the station, could be useful the morning after! Is the flaming pig still there for fish & chips?

Going to spend tomorrow eve, working out a leisurely crawl between these gems, all looking good, cheers.

I live in Leam.
Fat pug is very good, as is the Royal pug on regent street(more central).
The Drawing Board is just over the road from the Royal pug and is also very good.
The cricketers is good, the Clarendon is good, the white horse too, the star and garter is alright...

Blimey...We have some good pubs I've realised... 😀

Avoid the star and garter unless you want food. Bit overpriced imho though.
Both pug pubs are decent, best ale pub is the somerville, the clarendon is good for music, and the cask and bottle for sport.
Cricketers is good for food and boozing.

Or White Horse - but I'd always go for The Cricketers as a first choice. Food is great, good friendly atmosphere, good beer. Sorted.
