Has anyone had any experience with leak repair tape? Our toilet inlet valve went this morning, so I replaced that with no problem, but in doing so obviously flexed the feed pipe too much when I was tightening the fittings, which has meant it’s sprung a small leak at the 90deg elbow joint.

As a temporary fix has anyone used either self amalgamating rubber leak tape or stuff like Fiberfix?

I’ll get someone in to replace it (I’d have a crack myself but it’s in a very confined area without much excess pipe if I cock it up) but just need s short term fix until we get someone.

I used plumber's mait repair epoxy to temporarily fix a leaking central heating joint after it got knocked when we moved in.

Four years later it's still fine so I'm not going to bother doing anything more about it.
