How about give the 1.6million who are claiming unemployment benefit and have never ever worked a shovel as well!
there's about 100 (terraced) houses on my street.
i've cleared the ice/snow from the pavement outside 9 of them - no one else has done a damn thing.
that's the end of my charity.
next time it snows i'll charge them £5 each to clear the snow for them.
and i'm a lefty.

I thought that the really interesting factor was the fact that the Scottish parliament have called the Army in to help clear the snow!
Perhaps if they made their own students pay tuition fees the Scottish could have afforded some more gritters and snowploughs 😈
As a student, I dont think I could stand up for more than an hour with this hangover, let alone shovel snow.

You know, there are lots of kids from age 10 onwards, they could be made to shovel snow. In the summer months they could sweep chimneys or something too.
I see more workshy slackers on this forum (who are in the loosest sense "employed") than any of my fellow students. When I finish my exams, I'll put myself to work, just so you get your VFM from your taxes, mmmkay?
