MegaSack DRAW - This year's winner is user - rgwb
We will be in touch
So it would appear that the majority of STW users have been persuaded to get in line, or booted off the forum
No longer can we discriminate against people based on the way they look, their chosen lifestyle or their religious beliefs. All of this is good
No more do we poke fun, for the sake of a thread, at the people of larger build, the people with a different shade of skin colour the minority (on stw) sex or freeliving caravan type folk, even people who ride skinny tyres bikes only suitable for tarmac are kinda accepted.
so what is it about people who vote
http://singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/good-work-tory-voters
It's criticism of what they do not who they are.
Do you really really not understand the basis of discrimination?
similarly you can poke fun at people who get tattoos because they're ridiculously oversensitive about it while claiming not to be 🙂
what MSP said, I'm pretty sure if I punched you in the face you'd complain about it and that would be fine. Of course if you claimed I'd only hit you because I'm an obese black gay jewish gypsy then you'd probably get into trouble.
obese black gay jewish gypsy
I met him once. was a marvelous summer
obese black gay jewish gypsy
But does he skid round corners?
People who want their money back from a forum superstar because they've had no news from him for a couple of months. (unless the thread is still there but I've overlooked it)
Edit: I see the victim has started another thread which doesn't name and shame the fad diet merchant, we'll see how long it lasts before descrimination sets in.
i like to make fun out of poor people and people with ugly partners and people with a lower IQ level than me and people who use the word 'and' too many times in a sentense and people who cant spell sentence.
and people with tattoos.
and binners.
Nah ... you forgot us lot, that happen to choose to believe in a sky wizard.
We get called/flamed/trolled all sorts.
But then again I'm not in the sightest bit worried by it
People who like shite music .. ooh they don't like it up em.
people who we had hoped were gone for good........returning from the depths of facebook........ 😐
dont forget people with different backgrounds or opinions.
people who judge other people for their music choice (i've already entered you into the 'dance off' part of our wedding debz) and you'll be dancing to ronan keating, the ambient remixes.
People who like shite music
hmmm, that's quite a broad church - unconditionally everybody else's musical taste is shite and I'm ashamed of mine 🙂
dont forget people with different backgrounds or opinions
I hate them.
people who we had hoped were gone for good
eeek 🙁
What about all those MTBers that ride "off the peg" non-niche bikes.... Scumbags the lot of 'em

😥 celery...
hmmm, that's quite a broad church - unconditionally everybody else's musical taste is shite
And I hate them all
People of limited intellect and trolls.
people who claim they're experts of nutrition because they once worked ina chocolate factory, then post topless photos on a forum full of men who like lycra 😉
men who find a new diet and convince themselves no other diet will work for anyone ever, forgetting everyone's different.
men who aren't men because they dont own beards
men who wear lycra and insist its 'because its the best for riding in' instead of being honest about it and saying 'i like the way it makes look like a deformed seal rushing back to the ocean on a bike'
"People of limited intellect and trolls. "
So you think it's bad that trolls get a hard time?
So you think it's bad that trolls get a hard time?
Yes, I do believe that's exactly what I said.
You trolling £$%^ 😀
descrimination
discrimination. Humph.
I get the feeling I've missed something - actually been doing some work for a change!!!
We need more pictures of cats doing funny things on this thread, or pictures of puppies.
Philconsequence, why have you deserted us?
In these straightened PC times as more and more ludicrously unreal groups become protected from my disdain it sadly becomes necessary for us bigots to seek pastures new to vent our vile and corrupt view of the world. Seems to me that Tory voters are perfectly acceptable as a group to receive said filth, albeit it is uncomfortably close to cannabalism.
Remember: Bigots are people and have feelings too 8)
a deformed seal rushing back to the ocean on a bike
people who make me spray coffee all over my keyboard
Welcome back Phil but what's happened to your sidekick?
which sidekick?
I've got it in for people who think w and y aren't vowels!
their not vowls their continents.
The furry one who else!!
think he's still abroad riding bikes up and down mountains
I don't feel discriminated. 😀
Should I be upset?
People who know something about nutrition, have sporting results to prove it and disagree with a posse of fad diet followers.
People who think they are an expert based on a sample of one, and pig headedly dismiss all other information from people with more experience.
Oh and lesbians. That better?
Thanks, it's nice to be included 8)

So, is it safe to "come out" as an Atheist, now?
As an atheist, yes. As an arsehole, no 🙂
lol
i like to make fun out of ... people with a lower IQ level than me
If you ever find someone like that, I'm sure you'll have great fun at their expense. 😛
In between drooling and shouting "MATT DAMON!" to people...
jokes on you, according to my carers i'm super clever i am 😈
As an atheist, yes. As an arsehole, no
Brilliant!
Am I still safe to discriminate against people who ride bikes with spoke guards behind the cassette?
And Tories obviously
it's an interesting point though..
I was brought up in the spitting image era.. and consequently, having little interest in furthering my knowledge of politics, just considered that mocking the Tories was as natural as taking a piss.. after all, no-one likes a Tory..
but then I guess I was also brought up in the Joey Deacon era, when Irish and Ethiopian jokes were playground currency.. and teachers still joined in with bullying the smelly speccy ginger fat kid..
I'm actually a very loving soul, the fact that I obviously feel that it's so normal to heap scorn on this minority makes me feel quite dirty when I consider it in this new light..
sorry Tory folk.. 😳
As an atheist, yes
what about as a lapsed atheist ? I found it too dogmatic 🙁
Try agnosticism. Or don't, it's entirely up to you. It's like Diet CofE.

Care to translate?
Taxidermists?
Them private hire drivers too. 👿
It does that that persons of religious faith are still considered "fair game".
Some of the spitefulness posted in response to christian viewpoints in particular certainly wouldn't be tolerated if made against any other demographic.
Also anything that contravenes the fables and preachings of the prophets Goldacre & Dawkins is also seen as an "stw-approved target" and liable to be a trigger for endless pages of cod-science, wiki-wisdom & google-mania.....
Oh, that's just lively debate, surely? 😀

Well given the uniquely privelaged position that Christianity occupies in our society I'd say that comments like that are the equivalent of white middle class men complaining of sexims and racism (I'm a white middle class man by the way).
I've also been on the receiving end of plenty criticism from Christians in real life for stating the simple fact that I'm an athiest.

possibly, but try starting a "lively debate" about almost any other aspect of human culture &/or behaviour and see how far that gets you......
pretty sure most religions are fair game for "lively debate" (do tend to turn into slanging matches on here tho) spose it gets a bit iffy when talking about jewish people, any other religion/race cross overs? Some of the spitefulness posted in response to christian viewpoints in particular certainly wouldn't be tolerated if made against any other demographic

O.K.
The French: garlic-munching winos and German punch-bunnies or what?
10. 9, 8, 7, 6......
ginger people
football fans
people who don't drink alcohol
ex-forum members
So how many STW 'ism could you get upset about.
Christain, city working (not sure you've mentioned Banker Bashing on this thread and that surely is really the very last discrimination) bog standard bike riding Spurs fan.... I'm £$%^ed
Not least because of the last one
White, middle class cyclists.
Scum.
Life's too short really, innit? I used to get really wound up over the religion threads, but eventually came to the conclusion that there was no point stressing myself out anymore on an internet forum. I dont spend as much time on here nowadays, possibly as a result of that, and initially I really missed the forum and people I had got to know on here. Sad thing for me is, I feel pretty ambivalent about STW now, and ridiculous as it sounds, it feels as though I've lost a part of my life that I really used to enjoy. 🙄

You work in the city, no wonder your searching for ethereal salvation 😉
sorry to hear that mitch
I really missed the forum and people I had got to know on here. Sad thing for me is, I feel pretty ambivalent about STW now,
its ok, me, deadly, yeti and jamie are all on twitter and use that to mess around instead of here, hence the distinct lack of forumming from us too! come join us 😀
sorry to hear that too mitch as some of your posts are excellent though I clearly fall into the religious bashing camp
I do have the utmost respect for you and som etof thein things you have posted re what you have done and gay muslamic swans will for ever be a STW ism
Pardon the pun but it is a broad church on here and we should [ and I mean me ] be more tolerant
Sorry
Do we have another prospective #specialguy?
Any chance of you organising another SwinleySuperSexy when (when!) the weather gets better, phil? Or are you still busy elsewhere?
Swinleysupersexies are by invite only these days 8)
Oh, pooh.
i think its going to be a while Mrwhoppy, got less than 9 weeks 'til my wedding and every weekend is fully booked either handmaking decorations of buying stuff for the day or visiting people to organise and collect stuff for the day. then i've got 3 weekends after that then i'm off to america for 2 weeks as a honeymoon. so the earliest will be something in late october!
EDIt - just seen bravissimo's post. i have to be honest... i did go a bit invite only as they got out of hand with too many people to keep it on track and then you get people like dezzyB turning up and trying to infect people with grey-haired-sideburn-itis. i think something late october could work though and keep it to a smaller number, not invite only... but there might have to be a 'you must be sexier than this man *points to deadly* to join this ride.
Also anything that contravenes the fables and preachings of the prophets Goldacre & Dawkins is also seen as an "stw-approved target" and liable to be a trigger for endless pages of cod-science, wiki-wisdom & google-mania.....
and there was I thinking Dawkins gets a severe spanking too! Surely no belief needs justification as by definition it's evidence-free conjecture?
Oh, pooh.
Basically, if you promise to give of yourself completely to the collective (no questions, mind), then you're in. 😉
thats a point deadly, the more STWers that turned up to the sexy parties the more un-sexy it became.... next time i'll being a big bowl for everyone's car keys and then everyone can ride off into the woods in their new pairs
