Today is my last day in my current job and I will become unemployed on Monday.
I have been with my current company for just over 7 years and Monday will be the first time I have been unemployed since I left univeristy 16 years ago 🙁
All is not lost though as I have 2 confirmed interviews next week and possibly another one in the pipeline, so hopefully I will not be unemployed for too long 🙂
Good luck with the interviews - I'm in a similar boat just now - facing the dole after 15 years at the same company from university. We're holding on by our fingernails at the moment.
