looking to book a saturday night for 3 or 4 mates up in the lakes, wanting to do the borrowdale bash saturday afternoon (drive up to the lakes 2-3hrs saturday morning) and another ride the sunday before heading home.
anyway can anyone recommend a B&B with good comfort, bike cleaning facilities and overnight secure storage, very bike friendly.
needs to be walking distance to the local pub and evening meal/beers etc.
i'm guessing keswick or ambleside are good locations for mtbs

We stayed at the above, it's cheap and cheerful, there's bike storage avalable, though we chose to leave them locked in the van. Easy walking distance into town with all the pubs/food you could ever possibly want.

Borrowdale YHA is pretty good. Nice place, nice bar. Food isn't amazing but not rubbish and does the job.
Just locked up in cars, but they do have a place to lock bikes in.
