Sorry about another insurance question but is anyone on here using Laka for bike insurance and/or made a claim through them?
Very little comes up via the search on here and a google search doesn't bring up a great deal.
I use Laka but have not had to make a claim. Are you currently signed up and wanting to make a claim or are you just interested in the process? If the latter than I can probably find out
Looking at whether or not it is a good scheme and how easy it is to claim if required as that's the big test with insurance.
I had to claim for a crash in Calpe this feb
Fair bit of damage to components, rear wheel got buggered
All got sorted pretty rapidly, got two quotes. First one was very local bike shop taking the piss a bit, second one was a mechanic friend who runs a repair shop that came in at a more reasonable quote and they paid over the phone him within half an hour (which he said is the best/fastest insurance payout he's ever dealt with)
Bike's mint now. My wrist however is not, but not much you can do about that
I have Laka insurance and made a claim on one of my devices I'd put through the wash. They turned the claim around within a couple of hours and ordered me a new one that arrived a couple of days later. I was really impressed with the service I got.
