Diageo are closing the bottling plant in Kilmarnock, my home town. This will mean the loss of around 800 jobs and will be absolutely devastating to the town. The plant does make a profit, deageo freely admit that.
The Johnny Walker brand is synonymous with Kilmarnock and basically Deageo don’t give at toss about the town or brand heritage.
Please don’t buy Johnny Walker whisky.
