So I'd like a flash that I can put on my 400d to take to mayhem with so I can get some pictures of everyone in the night time. I rarely do night time shots, so I don't want to drop £200 on a canon branded one.
Are these any good then? reviews look promising, but I thought that the photographers would have something to say!

Not sure what metering method Canon use, but the Flash unit you mentioned doesn't work with the P-TTL on Pentax.

i thought the same as you, had a look at the jessops ones in store but next to the Cannons, they just didn't seem like that good a deal. so bought a cannon. if you were to get a really good price then maybe, but at retail i wouldn't bother.
