Bloody hell... and here I was being sceptical about the threat posed by [url= http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8244065.stm ]these jokers[/url]... still seems unbelievable to me that 500ml of homemade explosives can have such a large effect? Do you reckon the BBC demo has been 'enhanced' a little for dramatic effect?

At school we had pretty impressive explosive liquids demonstrated in class that gave a huge punch for their volume. Probably similar stuff.

I will refrain from giving tips to terrorists. Suffice to say there is a trick involved, and the BBC have wisely not shown every nutter out there what it is.

Here is a nice binary explosive the size of a matchhead vapourising a water melon:

I imagine 500g of the stuff would make a mess!
