I'm trying to download iTunes to a PC but the download stops at 99% and won't go any further. Any ideas what might be wrong?

uninstall all the existing files and try again.

Save rather than Run.
Wait a bit. That last 1% can take a while.
Delete your internet cache (Tools / Internet Options / Delete in IE).
Try a different web browser.
