I want to have 2 separate music libraries/folders, one lossless for playing at home through the uber-fi via aiport express*, one compressed (for phone, ipod etc.)
I'd thought I could rip all my music lossless, then convert it to a separate library in one go, seems it's not that simple.
What's the best way to achieve the above? *makes other software irrelevant.
Select first song
Shift-click on the last, right click, convert to mp3
click on "kind" at the top to separate mp3 from lossless
select the mp3s, right click, add to playlist. Sync iPod with this playlist.
Might take some time.
Sounds do-able, cheers.
There's an option somewhere in iTunes to put tracks on your iPod/ iPhone at 128kbps regardless of file resolution.
Took too long on my shonky computer but if you have a fast PC could work?
