Spent today building a fukin wall. All day...mixing shit and getting burned in the sun. I managed all of three courses. 🙁
And I'm not convinced it's entirely level...in fact I'm so not convinced, I'm not going to disappoint myself by checking it 🙄
It does have a rather beautiful and subtle curve (by design) 🙂

Last "proper" uni night out tonight, so I'll be getting myself rather pissed very shortly! Then recovering tomorrow, and heading home for a couple of weeks. Not really getting much riding done. I should be going on a Long Mynd ride on Tuesday, but I dunno if my arm/shoulder will be up to it.
nothing, spent wednesday in hopsital with severe kidney pain, turns out its a stone (a big one according to the urologist) so i'm on some funny tablets which make me sick and dizzy. I've been banned from riding for a couple of days as well 🙁

Just had my repaired frame back from LBS - new bearing kit fitted, going to be building up the bike - in prep for a whole week off with nothing planned but getting out.

Relationship stuff - been a rough couple of years (as rough as they can get) and I have realised I aint been happy in many, many years. Either I go on like this and not living or break someones heart (or perhaps provide relief if she is going through the same thing).

Big ride today, tomorrow it's velodrome in the morning, then home for oddjobs, then mountain biking for a bit.
Sunday is ride in morning, then take son out for a ride and get lynched, maybe take some pitcures in the evening.
Monday, more odd jobs, I'm fitting a carpet I think, and doing some painting, then walk with the family, meal, out for an evening ride.
Sorry to hear that Rob. I'm sure you'll take the right decision in the end. Once you've decided though, just do it and stick with it. You only get one go at things, it'd be a pity if you spent it not being happy.
Yeah - had that conversation with a number of mates of late. Realised that I was starting to get a little self destructive, so best to deal with it in a rational manner now rather than in 6 months get pissed and do something really foolish.

this weekend sees the start of the towns music and arts festival.. so sitting in the park with family and friends drinking beer, eating cheese and getting down to some good live music..
(top class high energy six piece ska band highlight this evening.. dancing shoes on)
It's also gonna be a nice chance for our first child to meet some of the more extended network of friends and associates in the community cos we've been hermits since his birth..
no riding til tuesday.. my legs could do with a few rest days to be honest though..

My bills account arrived - T-mobile STILL taking too much money even though they agreed that i did not ask for the upgrade that was added to my account and sent to some scrote in London!
Working today, out for a bite and local theatre tonight.
