£525, my best month ever.

I'd only got anything in February and August this year but now I'm back ahead of expected returns so I'm happy.

Unfortunately my van is in the garage so that's £400 of it gone🙄

£175 here too. Went in Wilf’s a Staveley for some soup and came out with a £175 framed photo too. Easy come, easy go… 😐

£225 this month which has boosted this year's overall to £1250, still only 2.5% return but first 6 months of the year was dire (1%pa).

Edit:- still seems surreal to have £50k each with no immediate spending needs

£125 for me in dec, £1300 this year, 3.47% return - just under base rate.
MSE reckons I'm just above average in my luck this year...

Well, it looks like I'm resurrecting this thread for 2026.

£175 for me and £100 for Mrs Lawman. The new year could be worse.

I'm about the same, statistically average, or at least that's what the wife tells me.

8 (Eight) - as the old videoprinter used to say for the football scores prizes for me this month.  4x£25, 3x£50 and 1x£100.  Anyone ever had more than 8?  Just the 1x£25 for Mrs S.

Don't spend it all at once! 😉

@mattyfez About the same for us , I'm contemplating opening 2 Fixed Rate ISAs for us , Virgin are paying 4.11% at the moment, it's the thought of a big win holding me back . Clever bloke is ERNIE 🙄

£450 for me. I think that’s my best month, although with 7 winning bonds I was slightly hoping for more when I did the big reveal.

Nothing last 2 months but over the last 12 I'm running at at 3.95% gain on full holding, which I belive is marginally better than what I can statistically expect.

You just have to look at the maths and not be emotional about it, If you've not used you full ISA allowance then premium bonds don't really make a lot of sense.

EDIT, and thats only a sample of 1 year, like I got slightly lucky this year and made almost 4%, next year that could easily be 3% or less... the longer you hold them the closer to the average you'll get, overall.
