How much have folk got invested to get these regular decent payments? Nothing here again, only one small win (£50) in past 12 months with 10k invested 🙄
6k here and nothing since June (2×25)
£50 here, nice.
I’ve had £100 in premium bonds for 10 years and not won a single penny.
Your investment is like searching for a raindrop in the Atlantic, very small chances indeed compared to the number of PB's issued.

£100 over 10 years at an average return of 2% (not sure if this is a reasonable guess, I only got into them 2 years back when rates were low) would get you £121.90. So with a minimum prize of 25 pounds it’s unsurprising you have nothing.

I have a similar sum and have won maybe £200 this year, I do pull it out once or twice a year and reinvest, obviously they say this doesn’t work but it has for me.
Are premium bonds even worth it now. My ISA needs renewal and I'll be getting 3.5% on 10k. Im tempted to cash in the premium bonds and add that too. Besides, 2x £25 wins in close on 3 years is utterly pathetic.
Got 25 quid today which cheered me up. Got about 5k in there as my emergency piggy bank, I've had it a while since rates were dismal on instant access. Maybe now rates are shifting I'll put it somewhere else but it won't be the same without the email telling you you've won, and the day of fantasy til you find out how much 😄

I had a small amount (like £10) in there for over 30 years and never won anything. Started putting money in there rather than a 0.0001% ISA this year. There’s what I think is a fairly substantial amount in there (I could buy a whole Santa Cruz with it and have change), and still had nothing.
Premium Bonds don't really work for those with very little capital to invest... Your odds aren't much better than that of winning the National Lottery with £100 invested, that's not to say that you won't win something, but the odds are slim... The more you put in, the better your chances are...

This... You're only likely to be below average luck if you've still won nothing in another 2 1/2 years time...
Anyway... Me and my Dad both invested at the same time at the back end of August... He put £10k in, I've stuck £25k in... Of course, he won £500 the first month (I won nothing!) which puts him in the top 0.08% luck wise! 🤦🏻 This month I have fared slightly better and got £100, and he's only managed £50... I expect our winnings to begin to be more representative of the amounts we have invested as time goes on...

This kind of attitude puzzles me. It’s clear that PB’s are very close to being pot luck with regard to growing and investment. If you want to grow your money with any certainty there are other places to invest - so why moan about it?
The slight argument to that is that prior to 2022 savings rates where so low there was more - albeit still low - of a chance of cash gains being than your average savings account if you could put a significant sum in.
£250 this month, we've won about £700 this year on £10k in total. Just had to empty the account however to buy a new car as ours is fubar'd. Not the best time for it!
£40k invested. £550 won so far this year. £50 this month.
1 x £100
18 x £25
£20k of the above is on interest free credit cards since 2014 so can't complain at the return being low this year really, just starting to think about moving the bulk of it now interest rates are rising. I may leave £10k in.
Zilch, can't complain I've had a good run over the last few months. Just means NBD is on hold for a wee while.
£10k left in and £25 only this month.
1 x £100 for me, first win in 6 months. Wife 1 x £50.
£25 for me £100 for mrs zip.
Still less than Chase would have us.
1*£100 & 1*£25. The most I've won so far.
£100 for me, that’s two in a row so I expect nothing from jan 😂
25 here, 550 last month. Going to move them to savings account at c 2.75%. House purchase looming so need some certainty.
£25 !!
That's me 4 seconds closer to early retirement
£100 for me!
Going to move them to savings account at c 2.75%
Where's that? I've not seen a rate as good as that on an instant access account since the short-lived Santander one a few months back.
£25 for me btw, brings me down to an effective taste of 3.6% for the year.
Nowt😕
I've decided to cash in my premium bonds and put the money in an ISA instead. Interest on investments is about 3.5% which is going to be considerably more than premium bonds have paid out.
£50 + £25 this month - makes 2.25% return on £20k this year
@bentandbroken thanks, that's a new one. Not full easy access but ideal for tucking a lump away pending a house purchase.
0 for me
So much for the increased prizes, not enough to outdo my bad luck.
Perhaps my luck is just building up for a mega sack win.
6 prizes for £250 Yay
You must have got mine by accident. Nowt again. Getting a bit cheesed off now, only seen £25 in 18mths on £12k’s worth and an extra £100 every month. Must be the inner gambler in me that won’t withdraw them and put in an interest account, “next month I’ll win a decent prize” and it never happens.
Nothing for me this month... On £25k invested! 🤦🏻
Especially hunhelpful as I've been on SSP for 8 weeks now and gonna have to start taking money out to be able to pay the bills... A nice win would have helped nicely!
£25.
First win since July, but I did get three that time
I made millions in premium bonds and lost it all at the track. Ach!
Nearly a year with nearly five figures and still not a penny. Hope my luck is better with the MegaSack.
In reality doing the premium bonds costs me £50 a month.
£150 for me, and £50 for Mrs Lawman this month.
That makes a total of £1600 between the pair of us for the year as a whole, which is exactly 1.6% return (yes, we're fortunate enough to have the max holding each)
PB's go up to 3% annual equivalent as of 1st Jan, thats good news. Income Bonds went up to 2.32%AER immediately.
3% on average, which leaves me 0% thanks to my luck!
I still remember a night at the dogs for a friend's birthday. Last race of the night and I hadn't won a thing, but with £5 left I put £1 (last of the big spenders) each on the 5 best odds. If any of them were 1st, 2nd or 3rd I'd have lost money but at least 'won' a bet. 8 in the race, my 5 finished 4th-8th!
£25. Was hoping for more.
Result!!
2 x £25
1 x £100
£25 better than nowt but I do look on at these high value winners with envy.
£250 for me £175 for mrs zip. Result.
£50 for me and £50 for my wife
😎
£175 for me on top of £100 last month, which is nice.
Not so nice is looking back and working out that prizes for last year only amounted to an effective interest rate of 1.1%. Even an easy access account would be accruing 1.5x that with current interest rates.. so I may jump ship.
Frogstomp..our friends won a 100k which means they can retire 5 years early.
Bugger all. Hmm. Last win was September of last year and prior to that I was winning 10 months out of 12.
