It's British Pie week starting today - https://www.awarenessdays.com/awareness-days-calendar/british-pie-week-2020/ Can't believe that Binners hasn't already posted in celebration of this important week in the British national calendar!

I had a lovely fish pie for tea - though as it had a potato topping rather than being encrusted in pastry I am not sure that counts as participating in this glorious event! Will be off down the local butchers tomorrow for one of their lovely meat-filled pastry concoctions or may even pop into the pie heaven of Pieminister in Bristol as I'm in town tomorrow!

Essential PSA, this. Cheers for beating me to it Philby.

I started the celebrations the celebrations yesterday with a meat and potato pie from Greenhalghs. Lovely

Planning on cooking a chicken, ham and leek pie tomorrow night

Blah, blah, blah...Casserole....pastry lid...blah, blah.....not a real pie....something about a pie from Keswick or something.... some arguing about shepherd and cottages....blah, blah....don't even start about apple pies....some humorous memes.......stop oppressin' me Fidel.

Right. That's us for another year.

Been a while since I last made a pie, might have to make a potato / cheese / bacon pie later.

Your pie-phobic, pie-denialist, puff-pastry-hatted heresy is getting worse PP.

That kind of crazy talk would get you lynched in Wigan. And rightfully so

We can't help you unless you're prepared to help yourself and admit the error of your ways

Otherwise the pie re-education camp awaits, where you will be entirely encased in pastry until you renounce your casserole-lid deviancy and embrace the one true, fully-enclosed way

Insufficient pastry to filling ratio I imagine.

Whatever happened to Hora?

Trolling Pinkbike, under ‘Sa Calobra’ pretty recently (on the sick bikes thread anyway).

No idea why he left here though.

Same as everyone else who’s chucked it. Rapidly declining quality of banter

I think, purely as its pie week, I'm going to nip out at lunchtime for a Greenhalgh's butter pie 😀

Anybody want me to get then owt, while I'm there?

Had a gorgeous steak, bacon and red wine pie with a boat load of gravy on a bed of mash and a side of minted mushy peas yesterday evening at Pieminister - bloody lovely it was! Even got the last remaining droplets of gravy up with my finger - would've licked the plate and the gravy boat if I'd been at home.
