If 'limit 1' is what we have to the end of a SQL command in Metamatrix QueryBuilder to get 'fetch 1 row only' in the DB2, what do we need to put at in the SQL to get the equivilent of 'optimize for 1 row'?
I hope that is clear.
Basically we are firing some SQL from Metamatrix, through a JDBC connector to a DB2 database and it is getting 'translated' on the way down. We need to put Optimize for 1 row on the end of the query to stop the cost estimate for the query blowing the limit. Unfortunately MMX doesn't use the same syntax as DB2.
Can STW beat the 'official' forums again?
