Vista laptop auto updated WLAN driver earlier. Wifi stopped working with the wifi network no longer showing. Couldn't get it back. So did a restore from point before the update. Still not fixed tho. Can see available wifi but my one not showing. Have manually set up using the SSID still no luck. Numerous switch on and off of the laptop and router to.

At least the phone letting me online.

I'm no expert but have you tried turning your router off/ on or resetting it to factory defaults and then searching for it?

Have you tried doing a hard reset on the router? Can you connect to the net when hardwired to the router? Reinstall wifi drivers from manufacturers website?

connect physically to the router then use ie / firefox /whatever to http://192.168.2.1/ and have a look and see what the router is doing

Try disabling ipv6 - it causes that sort of problem sometimes

If none of the above works try installing a decent operating system 😉

Is your router using a wifi channel >11? If your laptop now thinks it's in the US it won't be able to see it.

Cheers all, after hours of faffing, found a "connect if network not broadcasting" option. That seems to have fixed it.
