Am often amazed and astonished at some of the knowledge and input that comes up on here from time to time. Got me to thinking, is there anything that the STW hive-mind doesn't know the answer to?

Let's hear some totally off the wall suggestions and questions, please! The challenge begins here...

"There are things we know we know, there are things we know we don't know but there are also things we don't know we don't know."

I think that was about the gist of it.

CG, could you pass the Kleenex, please? 😉

Not sure when I next have a free day in the country to ride, but I'll see what I can do! After all, that's an offer no man can really refuse!

ton - Cheese? On a scone? It better be Lemon Curd otherwise I'll be round there to kick your sizable backside! 😈

The "how do hamsters know to run on wheels with no training?" question always threw me.

Then I found out. They do it at night because at night all the escaped hamsters can sneak out undetected. They train the captive hamsters in fast wheel running, and wire up the hamster wheels to a tiny independent network of cables which all run to safari parks. Here the baboons use it to work power welding equipment so they can turn the bits they steal off cars into tanks. The baboons and rodents are preparing to take over the world. Info like this is not available in books.

The question that's bothered me since childhood is how much was that doggy in the window? (You know, the one with the waggly tail.)

Hi C_G, if you like, I was thinking about doing that Avebury ride we discussed on Sunday with you and the other Wiltshire girls. I'm going to scope out the extended bit into Marlborough to be certain I know the route so there's an option. That's if CF's out of the country, or yachting off Cowes, or doing the Henley Regatta or something. 😀

Why our company website keep ramping up it's memory usage (in big ****ing steps not slow memory leak style) and crashing silo'd servers - the git.

If someone can tell me the g-factors (gx, gy, gz) and hyperfine coupling constants (Ax, Ay, Az) in MHz for a non-exchanging but quadrupole coupled (i.e. S=1/2 + 1/2 = 2x1/2 and not 1, J=0) Cu(acac)2 in 10% toluene in DCM then I'd really appreciate it. Been working on the simulation for 6 months and still no joy.

Also, if it's not to cheeky, could I get the same numbers for the analogous Cu(HFac)2 dimer please? 🙂 That'd tick my Mphil and I can go out and ride my bike

Has anyone ever used precast concrete core walls as the main stability elements to a building? Oh and can you put insulation in the middle if you do?
