Ride past a couple in a car who are engaged in an "intimate" act 1/4 of a mile in the forest from the main road
Then find the green fc gate open and lock it behind me?

My brother in law and I once got locked in Craigvinean forest after a late summer evening session on the trails there.
We managed to get out by building a bridge over a ditch with disused railway sleepers which we 'borrowed' from the fc wood yard.
Not sure what was funnier, the balancing act over the bridge or driving through the forest with the two back doors wide open as the sleepers were far too long for the back seat.

Back on topic, don't think the horny couple will get out as easily and he will be on a ban.

Ethically dubious I'd say.

Was there a key? Did you throw it away, or can the loved-up duo just unlock it again?

Bear - Member

nope still funny.

If there's anything that finds humans trapped in the woods at night funny it's a bear. 🙂

They won't be half as pissed off as the timber wagon driver that turns up early tomorrow and can't get in.

I'm not laughing at this, nor have I been able to think of anything inappropriate to say on Sue's thread.

I think I'm broken. Actually, this just isn't funny. Plus I don't think it happened.

Not funny 🙁

Might lead to a secret relationship being blown, or a delay in meeting or visiting someone etc etc

So you've past a couple having a bit of rumpy pumpy in a forest 1/4 a mile from the road,

the gate that they have driven through has been left open,

and you decide locking them in is some how funny.

Half of me thinks your an idiot, the other half is pi55ing itself, so im on the fence on this one.

It is not, however, wrong to pallet-wrap Hora's motor.

But that's different.

They might have some explaining to do to their partners as to why they were out for so long.

Whether it was extra marital or just feeling horny, I would be extremely pissed off if some knobber had done that to me. Not funny.

I felt very pissed off! it was dark and the headlights caught the sight of the closed green fc gate as we turned the corner. panic set in. I ran to the gate to confirm my fears that yes the gate was locked! with no way around the gate both sides deep in tree's. drove around the forest about 45mins finding a few dead ends. we did find our way out eventually with the help of google maps and forestry security guarding logging equipment but not before getting a massive bollocking and threating to call the police.
wont be doing that again in the hurry.
didn't catch who it was but it was a bunch of 3 guys on a night ride.

Then find the green fc gate open and lock it behind me?

very strange. You locked the gate, then went back to finish the job?
Had you been watching Fight Club?

Now it really would be funny if Greeble infact does have a Mrs, who he wasn't doing the dirty on, but who does know his forum name, reads this and then gives him hell for cheating on her.

Myself and some mates once bumped a hillwalkers old skoda into the ditch so when he arrived back at it he/they would be stranded for a laugh.
I was 18 and basically a total arsehole.

You must be a teenager yes?

The only motivation I can understand for doing this is jealousy. Is the OP not getting his oats?

Is the OP not getting his oats?

It's a bit confusing but I think the OP was in the car and the 'victim' of this behaviour rather than the perp.

I've seen loads of documentaries where people get trapped in the woods after this kind of foolishness and they often get hacked up by mentals or have to cut off an arm or something. What you did was utterly irresponsible.

Part of me thinks "A good prank to play" in a schoolboyish way, but then why would a FC worker be carrying the key to that particular gate when he's out on a ride himself, unless he's commuting home and keeps all the forest gate keys on him as opposed to the office?

Troll IMO 😕 and not a very good one at that. 🙄

I thought he just closed a padlock.
I can't really see the difference between doing that and letting the guys tyres down. Either way you're leaving him stranded. What a prize tit

Looks like variant of the Edinburgh defence here to me.

OP used "behind me" in the original post, and didn't seem upset by what had happened. Either a troll or the OP did lock the gate. Not good either way...

Is the OP not getting his oats?

I'm definitely not getting mine but even I wouldn't be as 'funny' as to lock a couple getting it on in a forest...although I don't carry a Forestry key around with me so couldn't lock it anyway (might explain my lack of action!)...
