So you advertise 3 part time and 3 full time teaching jobs (Nursery based). You are a region short of key workers.

The council CANNOT tell you where the jobs are based, just somewhere in their region...the council area is 844miles square, about 60miles from one end to the other, on rural roads.

Is it me?

It's a council, actually being organised doing the job is secondary to skiving and waiting for your indexed linked pension.

To be fair when you look at the Notts website jobs section, they're listed by school. If it's advertising in TES, that's pretty expensive. Would have been nice if they'd pointed you in that direction from the original ad though.

Slightly related and I am not saying typical but my experience.

I worked for a few months for my council a number of years ago on a short term contract building a database just after leaving Uni.
After a week the boss brought me into the office to tell me i was working too many hours. After dropping Mrs Surfer off at work I was first in the office each day and left last each evening.
This was frowned upon and I was accruing hours.
I resolved the problem by running for an hour each lunchtime, showering then eating lunch.
Strange environment.

I have just been informed that our son cannot have a place at his chosen nursery in September, as they cannot recruit any more (qualified) staff, and are having to limit numbers.
So the same council that cannot say where the posts are based unless we do a 600mile round trip to interview (no expenses paid), so putting off my wife from applying, are the same council that cannot recruit enough staff to staff the nursery in the village we will be living...and even the nursery themselves do not know what/who/how/WHERE any staff the council are looking to recruit...
😐 🙂 😀 😀 😀
(Cos if i didn't laugh, I would get cross...)
