Hot on the heels of their "don't ride on Queenie Day" stupidity, here they go with another descent into madness:

Hm, being sponsored by an oil company, how awful.

Do you drive a car, by the way?

World's worst argument - the bloke that invented the wheel previously dragged stuff across the ground. We do what we have to at the time, but we can still work towards something better.

Ah but the legal defence and third party liability stuff is handy for that smug comeback about no insurance/road tax 🙂

And when you post your video footage of a driver using a phone to the fuzz and it goes terribly wrong.

Reading the link it sounds like a great development, I particularly liked this:

The ambition is to embed disability and para sport into the heart of communities and develop a clear pathway from local to elite performance, with the funding helping to create inclusive and accessible environments for disabled riders across British Cycling’s 2,000 registered clubs.

Cycling is one of those activities which can be hugely adapted to suit people's individual disabilities. It can be pretty liberating for those who benefit from it, so it's nice that the sponsors recognise its importance.

I can't believe that it requires a Shell UK sponsorship of the British Cycling vehicle fleet to go electric!
