I think you can use a pre pay card from the shop to get around it. I signed up before they needed credit card details, but it does appear to be compulsory now... anyone know better?

Mine has only just started doing this when I upgraded my touch to the new OS4 last night. I told it to get stuffed as all the info is in my itunes thingymybob anyway.
I cancelled out of it and my iPod's working just grand. I like the way it keeps the wallpaper now as you navigate through the menus 😀
