Looking at replacing our old Denon cd player/tuner with a unit that will take the Ipod AND play cd's, (but no tuner) that sounds ok.
What's available for say, £300 or thereabouts with decent speakers?
(& yes I know you can pay lots just for speakers) 😛
Ta.

Should I have given this a different title then?

A set of Tannoy speakers, an old hifi amp / cd player and a dock will see you right for about £150 max

Denon mini system is a good place to start. Think you can get iPod dock etc. also look at Marantz wifi systems which are pretty good but may be over budget. Could make savings buy buying speakers second hand off eBay - lots of cheap small speakers. Have some small Celestions and haven't bothered listing as won't get enough to be worth the aggro...

Yep.

Sould have been in the Bike Forum & titled: 'What ipod docking station for a fully rigid s/s 29er fatbike'

All the niche whores would have been spunking themselves into a frenzy to answer your question...

For that price you could get the Denon for £170 and some nice speakers. I know you said no tuner, but not sure why 🙂

Only simply cos we never listen to the radio where the HiFi is I suppose. Have a DAB radio in the kitchen see.

Thanks for the replies so far! 😀

And thanks for the Denon link to some Caterham stuff! 😉
