They’re very nice shoes. You wouldn’t want someone to step on them

can’t get the french horn

Imagine you had a yellow-ish glove on one hand, described in a Scottish accent

Celebrity with the name of the instrument (different spelling). Check out the previous clues linking them to Kurt Russell.

Zoom in and read what the beetles have printed on them...if you said it three times, this person would appear...

Again, I wasn't thinking literally enough - I'm on 72 now...

It'll be your Donald Duck that someone comes along and takes the Mickey out of you being stuck on this...plenty folk will but a small few dinnae.

Thanks, I have the answer now but absolutely no idea how that relates to the clue. I'll research that!

Unless there are 2 answers for the glass then I reckon my post gives it away...maybe depends on the accent you read it in though. 😉

Yeah, sorry, the clue is fine and I have the answer now. I meant I can't yet see the link to the glass panel.

Ach mein gott, sacre bleu and merde.

75/80.

Diamond glove - I just can't see it.
Fox M on the tap - likewise.

I don't even know where to look for the others...

Wooden duck?
Candle in a jar?
I must be missing a beer mat one.

And that Bluethroat one is an ornithological travesty.

🙂

If the diamond glove had been used in a robbery, the news flash would mention a Smooth Criminal!

Transform your thinking, although after a falling out with the director, they didn't appear in any other of those films...but did get protected by the heroes in a half shell!

there is a list on the page 6 i think of all the clue positions. but the beer mats test your history and film knowledge. i certainly got a sinking feeling on one

duck and candle are not clues

Dear god, I enjoy this quiz every year but by god some of those were tenuous* & I wouldn't have gotten all 80 without this thread. Cheers

*Bloody song bird, damned horn, & the 6 rings...

edit: the duck may not be a duck, but is a clue

79 and I haven't got the duck/whatever.

Can you be any more forthcoming without giving it away. I went with 'Drake', but no go.

6 rings was the last one I got. Don't lose your head over it.

80!

It wasn't the wooden duck (and that isn't a clue). It was the handbag - which someone suggested was a red herring (it isnt).

One person I've never heard of (beer tap Fox M), but the rest all good.

Frustrating and fun in equal measure.

Ignore the nest, concentrate on the wasps, as mentioned previous what do they do...

It wasn’t the wooden duck (and that isn’t a clue).
Apologies I thought we were talking about the duck that not a duck, under the bar stools

A multi-level red herring!
