Anybody had this with Altura shorts? They are stiff enough to stand on their own

My Enduras are the same straight out of the wash. They soften up pretty quickly when worn.

Ajantom - yeah, they are better after 10 minutes wear, but they remain far more crinkly than they should be.

Mine are better if I remember to put a bit if fabric softener in. Has the added bonus of making them a bit more water repellant.
