I’ve finally had enough of 6 Music. They play some great music but the waffle makes me want to eat the radio. So I’m streaming internet radio on my phone during the day at work. But how much is this likely to kill my data? What’s the sum I need to do?

Maybe just run it for a week and look at your data usage in settings? Fwiw I stream stuff for a few hours daily and it doesn't touch the sides. If you have more than a couple of Gb allowance you'll be fine.
It uses bugger all data, about a meg a minute
Depends on quality but 60Mb/h is typical. So 8hrs at work could be 0.5Gb/day. If you’re doing that every day it’s going to add up.

The station I listen to is called Ibiza Sonics, running through their app. No ads, no bugging you to log in. Minimal bloody waffle and what there is is usually in Spanish or Catalan so still sounds cool even if you don’t understand it. But most importantly: awesome music 🎶
